Questinnaire of the opening Sequence of Teenage Tradegy

There wasn't just one set ethnicty. it was a mixed bag of ethnic groups. for example some people were black african while a couple of others were italian or spanish.

Everyone who took the questionnaire were students.

The main social personalities people chose were Safe, Sweet mate, Indie and Normal.
The people who were Safe had an international ethnic background. The people who chose Sweet mate had an ethnicity of being Brithsh.

Nearly everybody circled horror, there were 3 people who chose action- adveture and 2 who chose romatic- comedy.
Do you think that the opening titles to the film fits in?
They said yes. One person said ' it doesnt all rush in at the same time and people do notice it as it doesn't just pops up and goes'.
From the first viewing of the film, do you have any ideas on what genre it is?
They all agreed on what we hoped. They said that it was a teen movie, they also said it was a horror movie, but something we never thought of was that they said it was an action movie as well. I can now see what they mean by it because of the type of music played has a bit of an action feel to it as it works so well when it is played at the part when the bathrom gets trashed.
Do you notice any editing techniques? ( If yes please state )
Everybody commented on the 2 snap shots that were used on the part where Poppy trashed toilet cubicle. People also stated on how the opening titles appeared and how they disappeared from the screen. The majority of people gave good comments on the match on action of the door. For example ' that was a brilliant match on action. It was very clean and precise'.
How do you rate the match on action shots? ( Please circle)

12 people said that the match on action used was Fantastic, 2 people thought it was good, while the other 2 thought it was very good.
How did you find the vomiting in the toilet? Did you find it realistic?(Please state)
When people saw this part, we nticed there reaction and they were quite grossed out. They said in their questionnaire that it was very realistic because it actually looked and sound like she was throwing up.
What did you think of the shots in the trashing of the cubical?( Please state)
The People taking this questionnaire stated that it was a really good concept as it showed the anger and frustration of the young girl. They also liked the idea of the snap shots as it was a great effect. However 2 people thought that the 2 snap shots were a bit cheesy and it made the film a bit unrealistic.
What do you think of the backing track? Does it fit in with the sequence? What Genre do you think it might be?
Everyone basically said the same thing that it was a good beat and didn't contrast to the opening sequence. People thought that it was and Indie/Rock genre and it fitted in with the sterotype of the character.
When you watched the opening sequence, were you wanting to see more of the film? Why?
All of them said yes they wanted to see the whole film. Some said that the dialoge engaged them into wanting to know the full details of what Poppy is going through. Others said that the mystery of who was after Poppy and what actually happened to her.
Would you rather see this film in the cinema or wait for it on DVD?
Half of the people said that they would go to see it in the cinema, but the other half said they would wait for it to come out on DVD. One person from the DVD half said that if the film was well advertised, he would probably go and see it in the cinema.
